Today is a great day!! T & A Records presents the "Loving The Vibe" EP from SMALLTOWN DJS feat TRIGGA NOM and a host of exceptional remixes now available on JUNO and BEATPORT.

Smalltown DJs hail from Calgary, Alberta, but their new single looks overseas to the UK. "Loving the Vibe" is a big ol' garage bass hit, in the tradition of DJ Zinc, The Count & Sinden and Jack Beats, with shades of the Carribean-meets-dance vibes of Major Lazer, Douster and Congorock. Over a tropical house beat and infectious bass stabs and wobbles, Trigga Nom (best known as Toddla T's live MC) makes it a party. And the remixes take LTV to four completely different places.

Deekline brings the already hinted at Baltimore club break in the original version to the forefront, with a rowdy remix that harkens back to the days when you would find T&A vinyl in the breaks section at dance shops all over London. Then he hits you with big ass 808s, car alarm synths and midrange wobbles, and it's a wrap. 5kinAndBone5 take it in almost the exact opposite direction, stripping away the vocals and almost any semblance of a hook, and building a new, super deep garage track with a nearly endless palate of subtle synths and bass patches.

Lars Moston opts for more of a house take, with a vibe that is pretty hard to pin down; what sounds like a native chant looped in the background rubs up against Trigga Nom's vocals and Smalltown's bass. DJ Theory slows things down to 110 BPM, but this isn't like any moombahton we've heard before. A church organ (!) leads into a series of massive wobbles, chirpy synths, back to church organs, into a halftime breakdown, then more synths - words don't really do it justice, you'll just have to listen.

It's that time of year again! Festival season is around the corner and the most highly anticipated event of the year for our agency is SHAMBHALA MUSIC FESTIVAL happening August 8th to 13th near Salmo BC. Many of you may not know that this is where Stirling Artists as well as the agency got their start. This coming August will be the 15th summer I have spent on the farm and it's been incredible to watch the festival and the farmily grow to such a world renowned event. This year we are proud to have many Stirling Artists performing and here's where you can find us all!

Brooklyn’s “bass sweetheart” Jubilee is as shape-shifting as her X-Men namesake, releasing records as half of Bassanovva, collaborating with Udachi and Star Eyes, remixing for Canblaster and Cubic Zirconia, as well as running the Nightshifters label and the infamous Flashing Lights party. One thing remains constant – her commitment to all things bass. She now joins the Mixpak ranks with her Pop It! EP, complete with 2 remixes from up-and-coming US producers Rizzla and 5kinAndbone5.

A South Florida native, Jubilee’s roots run deep through out the EP, housing influences from Ghetto Breaks, Miami Bass, Electro and Freestyle. The title track, “Pop It!,” is an understated party track, building slowly to a mass of 808, cowbells, vocal samples and classic synths that would make DJ Laz proud.

Alongside the title track sits “Overtown,” fittingly named after the Miami area that inspired the bass scene, a manicure anthem with drum patterns that stride through tinges of UK Funky and Dubstep before flying back to Miami on its synths.

As if the bass didn’t already run deep enough in “Overtown,” Massachusetts producer Rizzla intensifies the low end in a remix that swings from hyperactivity to near standstill, spinning round the vocal snippet. Rounding off the EP, LA/SF duo 5kinAndbone5 twist the tune upside down, introducing a futuristic koto riff before building into a Bubblin’ synth breakdown.

As happy in an underground rave in Miami as they would be blasting from a car in London, Jubilee offers a record true to Mixpak – genre-busting, forward-thinking and party-moving. Pop it!
