Sammy Bananas - Brooklyn, USA

Rising Brooklyn producer and party maestro Sammy Bananas lives up to his name by crafting ecstatic tracks that ditch trendy production tricks in favor of pure pop satisfaction. He already has two EPs on Fool's Gold under his belt, the bootleg-inspired "High Top Fades" and "Braids & Fades" which instantly became DJ favorites.  Although his roots are in chopping 90s R&B and Hip-Hop into uptempo club tracks, Sammy is also an accomplished remixer working with the likes of Chromeo, Kid Cudi (his remix of "Make Her Say" went to #1 on Hype Machine in Fall '09!).  He is poised to kick it up later this year with the hotly anticipated release of his debut original song "Move Your Body" on Fool's Gold.   Sammy's unique approach has already made fans out of influential BBC DJ Annie Mac and platinum producer will.i.am, who ran up to the DJ booth at a recent LA show to shout "YOU made this?!?"

Sammy stunned the DJ community in early '08 with his inventive bootleg of N.E.R.D's "Everyone Nose" which he rechristened as "All The Girls." He debuted the remix on the Screaming Bloody Murder tour in which he traveled North America with A-Trak, Sinden and Steve Aoki. The track was played across the world and became a staple in sets by heavyweights like A-Trak and Flosstradamus.  After a busy touring schedule in '09 with dates in Europe, Australia and Mexico and sharing stages with the likes of Fake Blood, Proxy, Switch and Kid Sister, Sammy has just released the Telephoned EP on Fool's Gold. A collaboration with NYC vocalist Maggie Horn, Telephoned transforms current pop/r&b into underground dance jams witch Pitchfork recently called "Dumb fun".  Twenty Ten holds much in star for this rising DJ and producer.
