Renowned taste-maker Neoteric is the A&R for Grammy Nominated Switch’s
(M.I.A, Santigold) Dubsided label, and the co-creator of the acclaimed ‘White Light’
mix series. With his finger on the pulse of the dance music scene, he’s busy
preparing the next edition of his future music series ‘The Mystery Mix’, with Brodinski
(Release Date March 8th, 2010), and finishing first his compilation album, due out
April 6th, 2010, on Discobelle Records.
Known for his ability to play anything, and do it well, Vancouver’s Neoteric has
kept busy playing many of the best parties and the biggest clubs across North
America and Internationally. His renown tracks and remixes have gotten support
from the likes of as A-Trak, DJ AM, Diplo, Switch, Steve Aoki, The Rub, Stretch
Armstrong, Smalltown DJs, Annie Mac (BBC), and many others.
His group with prodigious producer U-Tern, Smoke & Mirrors, offers a unique
twist on all forms of dance music. Their tracks and edits have been supported by
some of the biggest names in the industry. Already in high demand, they’ve dropped
a crushing remix of Tittsworth’s ‘WTF’ featuring Pase Rock and Kid Sister, as well as
remixes for Major Lazer (Diplo & Switch) and a series of bootleg edits that have torn
down clubs worldwide!
Neoteric has played and headlined some of the biggest and hippest clubs in
North America including DJ AM’s ‘Banana Split Sundays’ at LAX, Steve Aoki’s Dim
Mak Tuesdays at Cinespace, and Circa Nightclub in Toronto, Plush in Vancouver,
plus many large festivals, such as the ‘We Love Sounds’ Festival in Sydney,
Australia, and the Shambhala Music fest in BC. Neo’s shared the stage with the likes
of M.I.A, Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan), A-Trak, Cut Copy, Fake Blood, Diplo, Miike
Snow, The XX, Simian Mobile Disco, The Presets, Jokers of the Scene, Surkin, Drop
the Lime, Nadastrom, Top Billin, Friendly Fires, DJ Falcon, Devin the Dude, Masta
Ace, and countless others!
His strengths lie with his great ear, high energy sets, flawless mixing, and
ability to adapt to any situation. With acclaimed mixes, tracks and remixes released
and extensive touring planned, the future looks bright for this hard working
